Touch CMS - Adding a Department

In Touch, departments are represented by folder icons down the left hand side of the application and these departments are then mirrored on the website containing associated products.

In order to maximise search engine optimisation then each department can have its own dedicated meta information (keywords and description) along with the ability to specify a different name for the department which is shown as the browser title for that page.

  • Step 1 - Select the department root folder where you want to add a new department (sub-folder).

  • Step 2 - Select the "add category" option and enter the required information.

  • Step 3 - Select the "Save" option and the new department will appear ready for products to be added.
